Butlers Emporium.

 

No. 1 is Butlers Emporium at 101 Bohemia Road.  Not sure of the date but the people are:  unknown lady, Jessie E. Butler {1876-1954), Percy D. Butler (1902-1986), Stanley Butler (1904-1944) and Percy John Butler (1876-1928).

 

No. 2 is also the Bohemia shop with unknown man and Stanley Butler in trilby hat.

 

No. 3 is Butlers Emporium in George St.  Not sure who all the people are but I think the woman is Mary Ann Butler nee Larkin (1853-1913), wife of John James Butler (1853-1916), the proprietor.

Now Claremont school. The building, a magnificent Norman Shaw designed mansion house, was built around 1884 for the Ebden family and was originally named Baldslow Place. The road it stands on is now called Ebdens Hill. (or the A21)
